The Project Manager II will support the implementation of the Clean Energy Communities Program and other community-based clean energy initiatives. This individual will manage projects, coordinate with stakeholders, and help shape policies that advance energy efficiency and renewable energy adoption across New York communities.

• Manage Clean Energy Communities (CEC) projects, reviewing deliverables and invoices
• Support the development of new CEC 3.0 solicitations and documentation enhancements
• Collaborate with staff, contractors, and community applicants
• Assist in developing policies that promote community leadership in clean energy such as benchmarking, carbon reduction initiatives, and community campaigns
• Perform other tasks to advance clean energy initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10 years’ experience in project or program management
• Strong understanding of technical principles in energy, environment, or related areas
• Proven ability to develop, manage, and implement projects with minimal supervision
• Strategic thinker with strong organizational and productivity skills
• Demonstrated leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to negotiate with contractors and represent programs externally

Preferred Background

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, environmental policy, urban planning, or related field preferred but not required
• Familiarity with state energy, environmental, and economic development issues
• Passion for clean energy initiatives

Pay Range: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
