QA Engineer (On-site)
Job Description
If you have experience inspecting production hardware, supporting DCMA sell-off, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing or defense environment, this is the kind of role where your work directly impacts final product quality. This position is ideal for a hands-on quality engineer who understands drawings, specifications, and real-world production issues and can work across engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams.
- Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols
- Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating materials and products
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Interpret drawings, prints, and specifications to verify product quality
- Support production activities including rework, repair processing, and hardware/software evaluation
- Review and inspect product to ensure conformance prior to release
- Perform product sell-off activities with DCMA and customer representatives
- Create and manage non-conformance reports and support corrective action processes
- Support flow-down of customer requirements into program execution and tasking
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain documentation and support quality reporting and tracking
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical discipline with 4–6+ years of experience, or 8–10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings, prints, and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to learn internal software and data management systems
- Experience working in multi-disciplined teams
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic production environments
- Experience supporting production hardware and/or software processing, including rework and repair
Skills Preferred
- Prior Quality Assurance Engineering experience
- Active Secret clearance
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102
- Knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems and auditing
- Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes
- Exposure to AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning
- Experience in a defense contracting or manufacturing environment
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Experience preparing documentation packages for customer review and product acceptance
Experience Required
- Experience reviewing and inspecting product for compliance
- Experience performing DCMA sell-off activities
- Experience creating non-conformance reports
- Experience performing ESD checks
- Experience preparing DCMA submittals
- Experience using inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, and standard office equipment

Pay Range: $39.00 - $44.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
