Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer II (On-site)
Job Description
We are currently seeking multiple Software Engineer II for our esteemed client. The ideal candidates will possess a blend of experience and enthusiasm for real-time, embedded software development. As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for a diverse array of tasks spanning software requirements analysis, architecture and design, implementation, documentation, hardware-software integration, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and software verification testing.
- Proficient in C++ programming
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix, VxWorks Operating Systems
- Experience with Git and JIRA Configuration Management tools
- Strong grasp of Object-Oriented design and development
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Familiarity with current computer applications and technologies
- Ability to solve basic technical design and development problems
- Capability to develop and maintain effective customer relationships
Skills Preferred:
- Knowledge of relevant military and commercial design standards
- Experience with UML modeling and UML modeling tools
- Familiarity with Bradley functionality and capability
- Understanding of DOORS
- Knowledge of CMMI for development
- Familiarity with embedded systems
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in real-time embedded software development and/or software testing
Experience Preferred:
- 4 or more years of related experience
- Experience in architectural-level software design using tools like Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect, etc. (for software developers)
- Familiarity with NI TestStand (for software testers)
- Understanding of combat vehicle functionality and capability
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
