Job Description

We are currently seeking multiple Software Engineer II for our esteemed client. The ideal candidates will possess a blend of experience and enthusiasm for real-time, embedded software development. As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for a diverse array of tasks spanning software requirements analysis, architecture and design, implementation, documentation, hardware-software integration, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and software verification testing.

  • Proficient in C++ programming
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix, VxWorks Operating Systems
  • Experience with Git and JIRA Configuration Management tools
  • Strong grasp of Object-Oriented design and development
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Familiarity with current computer applications and technologies
  • Ability to solve basic technical design and development problems
  • Capability to develop and maintain effective customer relationships

Skills Preferred:

  • Knowledge of relevant military and commercial design standards
  • Experience with UML modeling and UML modeling tools
  • Familiarity with Bradley functionality and capability
  • Understanding of DOORS
  • Knowledge of CMMI for development
  • Familiarity with embedded systems

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in real-time embedded software development and/or software testing

Experience Preferred:

  • 4 or more years of related experience
  • Experience in architectural-level software design using tools like Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect, etc. (for software developers)
  • Familiarity with NI TestStand (for software testers)
  • Understanding of combat vehicle functionality and capability

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
