SCADA Engineer (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support the configuration, maintenance, and operation of SCADA and Load Management systems in a utility environment. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and compliant system performance while supporting real-time operations and infrastructure.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong technical experience in SCADA systems, power systems operations, and infrastructure support.
- Design, configure, and maintain SCADA and Load Management systems in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Program SCADA systems to communicate with field devices including RTUs, IEDs, and meters
- Maintain SCADA servers, databases, data historians, and operator displays
- Support real-time data integration systems and ensure system reliability and performance
- Create and update SCADA displays, maps, and system configurations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards through proper documentation and system controls
- Support OT cybersecurity initiatives and incident response planning
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to support system operations and upgrades
- Participate in audits and provide subject matter expertise
- Provide technical support and assist with system troubleshooting and recovery efforts
- Supervise and support SCADA Analysts as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience with SCADA or Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
- Strong knowledge of SCADA configuration, programming, and troubleshooting
- Experience with real-time systems, data integration, and system monitoring
- Strong understanding of networking and computer systems
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization, access control, and system security tools
- Knowledge of SCADA systems, displays, and data historian platforms
- Understanding of power system operations concepts and procedures
- Familiarity with NERC CIP standards

Pay Range: $57.69 - $67.30 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
