Senior Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid)
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team in designing and developing advanced mechanical products such as ammunition handling systems, structures, gun systems, missile launchers, and other mechanisms. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in technical analysis, testing, and solving engineering challenges using specialized equipment and CAD software (PTC Creo Parametric 9.0).
Key responsibilities include interpreting design specifications, ensuring compliance with military and engineering standards, and developing technical documentation. You will collaborate closely with customers, ensure project deliverables meet cost, quality, and schedule requirements, and contribute to presentations on production support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, plan, design, and develop mechanical products and systems
- Perform technical analysis, testing, and evaluation using specialized equipment
- Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, models, and test results
- Develop and maintain product parts, assemblies, and drawings using PTC Creo Parametric 9.0
- Solve complex engineering problems and ensure designs meet quality and performance standards
- Develop technical documentation and provide revisions to existing documents
- Collaborate effectively with customers and maintain strong relationships
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and maintain a safe working environment
- Support project leaders with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
Skills and Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience, or M.S. degree with 2 years of experience
- Proficiency in creating moderately complex solid models and mechanical designs using PTC Pro-E or CREO
- Strong problem-solving skills for moderately complex technical issues
- Experience working with internal/external shops to manufacture designs
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.

Pay Range: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
