Senior Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of complex mechanical products such as ammunition handling systems, structures, gun systems, missile launchers, and related equipment. This role involves technical analysis, design, testing, documentation, and support for engineering projects within a military product development environment.
- Research, plan, analyze, and develop mechanical components and systems.
- Perform technical analysis and evaluation of engineering challenges using specialized tools and computer programs.
- Interpret and ensure compliance of designs with engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements.
- Create and maintain parts, assemblies, and detailed drawings using PTC Creo Parametric 9.0.
- Deliver technical presentations and contribute to technical documentation and revision.
- Conduct moderately complex design, analysis, testing, and quality assurance tasks.
- Work with internal and external manufacturing teams to support production activities.
- Provide input on project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry practices and technology relevant to mechanical engineering.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience (or a Master’s degree with 2 years’ experience).
- Proficient in CAD design using PTC Pro-E or Creo.
- Solid understanding of mechanical design and moderately complex modeling.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing support and working with production shops.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with military and commercial design standards.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5 – 2009 or 2018).
- Experience with tolerance stack analysis.
- At least 2 years of experience using Creo for modeling and drawing creation.
- Experience with EPDM systems, preferably Windchill.
- Background in military product development or precision assembly tooling is a plus.

Pay Range: $57.00 - $62.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
