Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Principal Programmer Analyst with a specialization in Tableau Administration to support our client's Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will leverage their Tableau expertise to deliver complex solutions and ensure the efficient operation of Tableau software.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Tableau software and server components.
  • Monitor and optimize Tableau server performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau-related issues, including data access and dashboard loading.
  • Provide system administration support for customized applications, user permissions, security settings, and custom objects.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to Tableau users, including creating and editing SQL queries, data sources, and calculated fields.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality, accuracy, and availability.
  • Utilize Tableau server commands such as synchronization, Tabadmin, Tabcmd, and server backup activities.
  • Resolve workbook performance issues and implement best practices.
  • Assist in developing new Tableau dashboards and maintaining and enhancing existing ones.
  • Translate findings into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Present work to business audiences, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teams to estimate, plan, and manage new feature development and testing.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into customized data solutions with a focus on end-user experience.

Skills Required:

  • Expertise in installing, configuring, and upgrading Tableau software and server components.

  • Experience in resolving workbook performance issues and implementing best practices.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and enhance Tableau dashboards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and innovative solutions to data challenges.
  • Effective presentation skills for business audiences and stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with teams for new feature development and testing.
  • Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into data solutions.

Education Required:

  • 18+ Years with High School Diploma
  • 14+ Years with Associate’s Degree
  • 12+ Years with Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ Years with Master’s Degree
  • 7+ Years with PhD

Pay Range: $72.00 - $82.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
