Job Description

Our client is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers with a passion for real-time embedded software development, integration, and testing. This role supports the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, architecture and design, coding, integration, troubleshooting, and software verification activities within a complex engineering environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong embedded software development experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines.

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, testing, integration, and documentation
  • Develop, maintain, upgrade, and support embedded software applications and related product support software
  • Perform software coding, unit testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and software verification activities
  • Support hardware and software integration efforts
  • Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls Engineering teams
  • Mentor junior software engineers and support technical development within the team
  • Ensure software solutions align with established engineering principles, customer requirements, and quality standards
  • Assist with resolving technical issues and supporting customer needs
  • Support integration and testing activities in laboratory and customer environments
  • Travel to customer sites as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in real-time embedded software development and/or software testing required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with a Master’s degree considered
  • Strong programming experience with C and C++
  • Experience with Python programming
  • Experience developing software applications on Linux operating systems
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design and development principles
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance required

Pay Range: $58.00 - $63.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
