Senior Software Engineer (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers with a passion for real-time embedded software development, integration, and testing. This role supports the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, architecture and design, coding, integration, troubleshooting, and software verification activities within a complex engineering environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong embedded software development experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, testing, integration, and documentation
- Develop, maintain, upgrade, and support embedded software applications and related product support software
- Perform software coding, unit testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and software verification activities
- Support hardware and software integration efforts
- Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls Engineering teams
- Mentor junior software engineers and support technical development within the team
- Ensure software solutions align with established engineering principles, customer requirements, and quality standards
- Assist with resolving technical issues and supporting customer needs
- Support integration and testing activities in laboratory and customer environments
- Travel to customer sites as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in real-time embedded software development and/or software testing required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with a Master’s degree considered
- Strong programming experience with C and C++
- Experience with Python programming
- Experience developing software applications on Linux operating systems
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design and development principles
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal teams
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance required

Pay Range: $58.00 - $63.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
