Software Engineer I (Embedded Integration & Test) On-site
Job Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer I for our client to support the integration and testing of real-time embedded software and hardware systems. This position is ideal for an early-career engineer with a passion for software development, systems integration, troubleshooting, and testing complex electronic and electromechanical systems.
The successful candidate will work in both laboratory and tactical vehicle environments, supporting the development, integration, verification, and validation of software systems used in advanced military platforms.
- Perform hands-on integration and testing of complex electronic and electromechanical systems
- Support hardware and software integration activities in laboratory and vehicle environments
- Develop, execute, and document software test plans, test procedures, test scripts, and test cases
- Participate in software requirements, design, and code reviews
- Assist with software design, development, coding, debugging, and documentation activities
- Perform software verification and validation testing for new software releases
- Troubleshoot software, networking, and hardware integration issues
- Conduct fault isolation, diagnosis, and repair of test and tactical systems
- Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, models, and test results
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, military specifications, and customer requirements
- Support system performance evaluations and technical investigations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software and system functionality
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline
- Relevant internship experience in software engineering, systems engineering, integration, testing, or related field
- Programming experience in one or more of the following languages:
- C
- C#
- C++
- Python
- Understanding of software development methodologies and systems engineering principles
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Pay Range: $37.00 - $42.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
