Test Technician II (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Test Technician II to support manufacturing and testing of electronic assemblies in a fast-paced production environment.
- Set up and operate test equipment for production assemblies and units
- Conduct testing following established methods, procedures, and standards
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to the component level
- Perform adjustments, calibrations, and modifications to equipment as needed
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and work instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and test instruments such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Perform hand soldering and support rework activities
- Verify product quality and support process control procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing testing, specifically with PCB boards
- Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
- Strong soldering skills (hand soldering required)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RF analyzers and advanced test equipment
- IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD certifications (Modules 1, 3, 6 preferred)
- Ability to become solder certified
Education
- High School Diploma or Trade School education required
Shift: (Mon-Thu), typically 6A-4:30P
