We are seeking a Weld Quality Technician with an active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification to lead visual testing (VT) activities in a manufacturing environment. This role provides technical guidance to inspection personnel and helps ensure welds meet customer specifications and quality standards while supporting production schedules.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to VT Level II inspectors.
• Train, examine, certify, and audit inspection personnel in accordance with the company’s written practice.
• Review VT indications and provide technical analysis for engineering review.
• Apply and oversee visual inspection procedures, including accurate documentation of results.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, codes, and customer specifications.
• Maintain quality records and review inspection technique sheets.
• Work with production and quality teams to improve inspection workflows and resolve quality issues.
• Investigate failures, identify root causes, and support corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma and an active CWI certification.
• At least 5 years of visual testing, nondestructive testing, and quality assurance experience.
• Experience supporting production teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret welding codes, technical requirements, and inspection procedures.
• Strong technical writing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Senior-level CWI designation is preferred.

Pay Range: $43.00 - $48.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
